Aishwarya is shocked and fuming at Madhur's attitude

The shooting of Madhur Bhandarkar's "Heroine" has been put off because of Aishwarya Rai's pregnancy, but Priyanka Chopra has denied that she wants to replace Ash.

Aishwarya, 37, plays the lead role in "Heroine".

"At this point, nothing is more important than Aishwarya's well being and good health, " producers UTV said.

"We have all agreed that the best step would be to avoid shooting further, rather than proceeding with an incredibly demanding schedule over the coming months, " it said.

However there are reports doing rounds that Ash is not very happy with the director Madhur Bhandarkar and the way he handled the good news. According to sources, Aishwarya is totally shocked at Madhur’s attitude.

"She is pregnant, not sick or bedridden, and is perfectly capable of shooting. There was only one action scene in the movie that shows her character running from a brothel and she has already shot that.

Rather than congratulating Ash on the most awaited good news of her life, Madhur just seemed worried about their film. Ash told them she’ll complete the shoot by July end. But they felt she will look overweight and unglamorous,” the source told.

Meanwhile, Priyanka has rubbished reports that she might replace Aishwarya in "Heroine".

"Read some stupid article about how i wanna do Madhur Bhandarkar's film HEROINE... I think Madhur is an amazing director and. It'll be amazing to work together again but GUYS this one aint it!!! I wish him and Aishwarya lots of luck with the film, " the Bollywood star posted on Twitter.

"I also wish that journos would actually do some journalism rather than scriptwriting and stop deciding my next moves!!!" she added.

The project, also starring Arjun Rampal, was announced during the Cannes Film Festival this year.

Ash pregnant, Madhur depressed!

Aishwarya Rai's pregnancy has driven Madhur Bhandarkar into depression as scrapping the film Heroine will cost him Rs 4 crore!

A girl in the gym made Farhan Akthar panic!

Farhan Akhtar met a girl at his gym, who came up to him and confessed that she loved Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. And she would like to show the film to her friends.

Initially, he thought, she was talking about the promos. But when she started talking about the scenes, he panicked and immediately called Ritesh and broke the news of how the film has been leaked.

FA was fuming and told the girl that he would complain to police that she had seen the movie. It took the girl some time to explain that she had seen the film as a part of focus group screening which was organised by Excel Entertainment itself.

Farhan heaved a sigh of relief only after that.

Ukranian hottie for Scarlett Keeling murder movie

Italio-Ukranian Nataliya Kozhenova to play role of 15-yr-old British national Scarlett Keeling in movie titled Anjuna Beach

After No One Killed Jessica, yet another female oriented real life story has been made into a film.

Italio-Ukrainian model Nataliya Kozhenova is quite excited that she has been roped in by producer Sikandar Khan to play the controversial role of the 15-year-old Scarlett Keeling, the unfortunate young foreigner who was brutally raped and murdered in Anjuna Beach on February 2, three years ago. The film titled Anjuna Beach will be directed by Shakeel S Sai.

In connection with this case, two locals Placido Carvalho alias Shanaboy and drug dealer and barman Samson D'Souza, were arrested and charged with drugging, raping and leaving Scarlett to die on the shore. The case was later handed over to the CBI after her mother repeatedly accused the local police of a massive cover up.

Nataliya confesses that she considers herself extremely lucky to be chosen to play a challenging role based on the real life story of Scarlett.

"Since I have been in India only since the last two years, I confess I was not aware of the real life story of the British girl Scarlett that I am playing in the film, so I started my preparation after a lot of research."

The movie is being made not only in Hindi, but also in English, Tamil and Telugu and had to keep the various audience in mind, says the model.

Nataliya reveals that since the local government in Goa was not in favor of letting any film unit tarnish the image of Goa, lest it affect the prospects of tourism in the State.

Officially permission was not granted but the producers had stealthily managed to shoot the portions of Nataliya for ten days, in the same beach, where Scarlett was raped and murdered. Though Nataliya is happy that the director had shot the brutal rape and murder scenes in an aesthetic manner, she is upset that she was asked to dab layers of make up.

She felt that as a 15-year-old, Scarlet should have been presented without make up.

"I have had experience as an actor thanks to my stint in Ukrainian theatre and am not a movie as far as acting is concerned, " she adds Besides Nataliya, the film Anjuna Beach also boasts of a cast comprising veteran actors Kiran Kumar (who plays the role of the public prosecutor), Amita Nangia, Ramesh Goel and the Iranian actress Farhanaaz (who plays the mother of Fiona Scarlett).

The movie is being made not only in Hindi, but also in English, Tamil and Telugu

Can you imagine? Even RGV can't use 'Rangeela'

RGV not able to use his own 'Rangeela' song in his new real-life horror film 'Not A Love Story'

It should be easy for Ram Gopal Varma to use A R Rahman's title track from Rangeela, which RGV directed in 1995, as part of the background score for his new real-life horror film Not A Love Story, right?

Wrong! He is being driven up the wall trying to get the rights for his own song from his own film.

The trouble is, he and the film's cast and crew have their hearts set on the Rangeela song. And none on the team of NALS knows how to get out of it.

Can't imagine

Say a source, "Not in his wildest imagination did Ramu think he would have a problem getting the rights for a song from his own movie.

He ordered a terrific re-mix of Hoja Rangeela Re and it was to be used to set the violent, reckless pace of the crime thriller.

Now, when he is facing a problem with getting the rights of the song, the entire team is depressed. They can't imagine a replacement to this track. The director doesn't know what to do."

Having no rights

When questioned about it Ramu says, "Yes, I do want to use the song in my next. But the rights are not with me. Yeah, I can't use a song from my own film while others merrily remix songs from other people's films."

Aamir and Big B: Clash of Titans!

Two Bollywood stalwarts like Big B and Aamir Khan rarely clash at the box office. Amitabh Bachchan's Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap and Aamir Khan's Delhi Belly are all set to release this Friday. Both are drastically different films, but interestingly have similar marketing and publicity techniques.

Both have cashed on the burning topic 'the age limit for drinking in Maharshtra'. While Big B tweeted about it incessantly, Imran Khan announced his plans of filing a Public Interest Litigation.

Both have relied on the strategy of abuse or not to abuse. While DB has 'in-your-face' songs with abundant use of double meaning words and expletives, AB's Bbuddah has beeped the abuses.

Also, both Aamir and Big B have turned item boys for their respective films.

With so much efforts being put in by both parties, it would be fun to see who wins this BO race on July 1.

Theatre is where home is

Paresh Rawal goes back to where he started from

Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has decided to take a sabbatical from movies after Ready. Though the film was a smash success, he feels he has done enough of these comic roles.

He has now turned ferociously towards theatre, from where he says he derives immense creative satisfaction. "It's like returning to my roots.

The movie roles that I do nowadays can be done by me with my eyes closed. There's no challenge. It's theatre where the challenge really lies for me."

On a road trip

Paresh has just returned from an extensive world tour with his Hindi play Kishan Versus Kanhaiya. Says the elated actor, "I can't tell you how exhilarating the experience was.

We travelled for 67 days across Europe and the US. We did over a 100 shows. And we spent innumerable hours on the road.

The thrill of being a traveling performer, going on stage to face a live audience ¦ cinema cannot replicate that pleasure."

Paresh's colleague, Naseeruddin Shah too, has said more or less the same thing, vowing to adhere to the stage this year, but will also do cinema with three back-to-back films.

However, Paresh isn't likely to change his mind. "I'm not going to return to films for a while. After Ready, I haven't signed anything. Nothing seems worth my effort."

Now, Uday Chopra to quit Bollywood

Actor Uday Chopra has revealed that he is set to give up his acting career after "Dhoom 3".

"Ok confession time...Dhoom 3 is my swan song...my last film...no I'm not giving up acting...quite the opposite, acting is giving up on me!" Uday wrote on microblogging site Twitter.

The 38-year-old son of filmmaker Yash Chopra forayed into acting with his home production "Mohabbatein" in 2000 along with Jimmy Shergill and Jugal Hansraj.

Uday was later seen in "Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai", which also did well at the box office, and has also been a part of successful "Dhoom" franchise. However, his other films failed to set the cash registers ringing at the box-office.

Sanjay Dutt, Vivek Oberoi face off in Zilla Ghaziabad

Sanjay and Vivek Oberoi will have a face off in their next, Zilla Ghaziabad.

Just like their last film together, Shootout At Lokhandwala even this one has been based on a real story wherein Vivek plays a gangster and Sanjay a cop.

A unit member says, "Both Sanju and Vivek are playing powerful larger than life characters and have quite a few confrontation scenes."

Since there is chin-to-chin fighting, we wonder it will remind them of their earlier personal equation.

Hrithik admits he needs a break

First it’s Shah Rukh Khan who we hear has been taking acute risks with his legs in spite of a knee injury. Now we hear it’s another superstar. Is Hrithik overdoing the acting and dancing? He admits he needs a break. You could say it’s long ‘Diu’.

On Friday evening Hrithik Roshan frantically scuttled between the small scenic island of Diu in Gujarat where the climax of Agneepath is being shot, and Mumbai where he had to return to shoot episodes of a dance reality-show that he judges.

With no connecting flights between Diu and Mumbai at a suitable time Hrithik flew in on Friday evening by a chartered plane to shoot the entire night for the dance show before returning to Diu to resume the shooting of Agneepath the next morning.

Not the best way to focus on work, specially for a perfectionist like Hrithik. The actor who likes to focus ferociously on whatever he’s doing is currently going through the most tumultuous scheduling scramble in the history of his career.

Apparently neither Hrithik nor his director Karan Malhotra are too happy with Hrithik moving back and forth.

Says a source, “Both Hrithik and the director are equally stressed about the interruptions in the dramatic and tense climax. The entire unit of Agneepath has been shooting on a set specially erected by Sabu Cyril since the beginning of June.

Diu is a sensitive area. There is an air-base nearby. Permission to shoot has been attained after much effort. Hrithik is not happy leaving behind the shooting. His commitment to the dance show is breaking the rhythm on the location in Diu. ”

Says Hrithik, “Well, as much as we tried we could adjust the dates, so I’m working virtually like a machine between Just Dance and the Agneepath climax shoot, without breaks or any respite!”

Hrithik is exhausted, but determined to see the impossible schedule through.

Says the superstar, “It’s like doing three films at the same time! But as long as my day is filled with good work I am ready to take on even more. ”

Hrithik had to forego a trip to Toronto for an international awards function. Says Hrithik, “I think my first day off now would be in October. And boy, am I looking forward to that!I guess you’ve to be distanced from paradise to really understand what paradise means. ”
